We are a nonprofit that provides children and their caregivers with Comfort Kits, coping tools, toys, and practices to help them cope with traumatic experiences like war and natural disasters. The kits, designed by psychologists and pediatricians, offer mind-body toys and playful practices, plus guidance to help them manage pain, worry, sleep and other concerns related to traumatic events. We've donated and distributed close to 1500 Comfort Kits for Children in Ukraine and Poland, Israel, Turkey, Maui, Chicago, and Israel. We've also created a website of curated behavioral health resources, teaching videos, and healing recordings. We host webinars to demonstrate how to use Comfort Kits to help children exposed to traumatic experiences. This psychological first aid kit of simple toys and mind-body instructions is accessible and can be self-directed or coached by caregivers. Using the items, playing with the toys, and following the video guidance helps children find calm and better emotional self-regulation.
