Established in 1977, the Department of Commerce initially introduced the B.A. Corporate Secretaryship program, later transitioning to B.Com. in 1984. Today, the department offers a diverse range of programs including B.Com., B.Com (Computer Applications), B.Com (Professional Accounting), B.Com (International Accounting), B.Voc (Accounting & Taxation), B.Com (Strategic Finance), B.Com (Business Process Management), B.Com (Business Analytics), B.Com (Fin Tech), M.Com., and Ph.D. These programs cater to the aspirations of a wide array of students, both male and female, who aspire to excel in fields such as Accounting, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, E-Commerce, Computational Accounting, and Information Technology. The Department of Commerce fosters a dynamic environment where all staff members are dedicated, committed, and responsive to student needs.
