商務印書館於1914年在香港設立分館，秉承「昌明大教育」文化理念，以擔任文化導航為己任。其出版書籍以知識性、學術性、實用性為主，著重辭書、語言學習與翻譯的出版。近年，積極發展面向教育的電子讀物和網絡出版，附屬的香港教育圖書公司專事出版教科書及教育圖書。此外，本館致力擴展門市網絡，全線擁22間門市，除了綜合書店外，近年更把業務伸延至鐵路站、大學、博物館，又增設兒童書及法律專業書店，全方位服務不同需要的讀者。
