About Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum

Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum (CATPM) & RCAF WWII Memorial 📍 Brandon, Manitoba | Located at McGill Field (Brandon Municipal Airport) 🕙 Open Daily: 10 AM – 4 PM | ✈️ Volunteers Welcome The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum is a National Historic Site, Manitoba Signature Museum, and Manitoba Star Attraction dedicated to preserving the stories of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan and the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. We gratefully acknowledge that the Museum is located on Treaty 2 territory, the traditional homelands of the Dakota, Anishinaabe, and Métis peoples. We are committed to the ongoing work of reconciliation, inclusion, and shared history. Our museum is home to one of the largest collections of restored WWII-era aircraft, vehicles, and artifacts in Canada—housed in original wartime hangar and buildings. We honour over 18,000 RCAF personnel who gave their lives in service and continue to share the experiences of those who trained, served, and sacrificed. We are currently undergoing a major multi-phase redevelopment to enhance our exhibits, expand visitor experience, and ensure all voices and contributions are reflected in our storytelling—including those of Indigenous, Métis, racialized, and underrepresented communities. 🛠️ Volunteers are vital to our success! From front-of-house to restoration crews—there’s a place for everyone. 👉 Explore volunteer opportunities: https://airmuseum.ca/about/volunteer/
