Commonwealth Industrial Services, Inc. (CIS) is an industrial services company located in Hopewell, Virginia. Our profit centers include: sales of ammonium sulfate, lime, ice melt, dry product packaging, warehousing, rail transloads( lumber, metals, cellulose rolls, aggregates, etc.), public truck scales, and transportation services in support of CIS operations. For each of the past 8 years, CIS has transshipped for Honeywell 2000-3000 containers of palletized export product to the port of Norfolk. Commonwealth also provides warehouse storage and inventory management for Ashland Chemical. Commonwealth continuously seeks to provide real value to its customers. Our motto "Dedicated to our customers' needs," reflects our Corporate Philosophy, which is to provide solid value-added services to our customers(most of whom are plant and activity managers).
