We are a Lottery funded national community resilience programme run by the charity Groundwork South, with partners including the Environment Agency. Through training and tailored support (currently delivered online), we work to equip Community Emergency Volunteer (CEV) and Flood Warden groups nationwide with the knowledge and confidence to prepare for, respond to, and recover from a range of emergencies. Working closely with local authorities, resilience network organisations and national strategic partners, Communities Prepared offers community development, training and support to a wide diversity of volunteers and their groups, enabling them to become a sustainable resource to communities at risk. Through this, we help to create better prepared and more resilient communities.
