Community Care Connect

Community Care Connect is a localised approach to building care and support networks that enables communities themselves to play a vital role in meeting the care and support needs of the people that live there. We support third sector organisations, social enterprises and carer-led start-ups to upscale their impact by developing viable new Carer Introduction Services that match people seeking care or support at home with self-employed and directly employed Care or Support Workers and PA’s. In doing so we help organisations to extend their support offer, fill gaps in provision and generate revenue – strengthening both organisational sustainability and community resilience into the long term. We believe that community organisations are uniquely well-placed in this role because they are committed to - and embedded within - their communities, enabling them to make the most of local knowledge, networks and other assets. For Local Authorities, health and other strategic bodies, Community Care Connect offers a capacity building approach to stimulating community-level infrastructure. The approach relieves pressure on regulated care markets whilst supporting local economic and workforce development – all national priorities in the face of an insecure social care market additionally impacted by the Covid19 pandemic.
