The "Community Climate Resilience Concern Group" （CCRCG) is youth-led group dedicated to addressing climate justice issues in Hong Kong. We are concerned about the impact of extreme weather, especially heatwaves, on vulnerable communities, those living in sub-divided housing, and the homeless, and are working to reduce the impact of climate change on them. Through various policy advocacy, community projects, and activities, we are committed to enhancing the community's climate resilience and building a climate-just community.
Since our establishment in 2021, CCRCG has been taking various actions. Our actions include collaborating with the Hong Kong Public Opinion Research Institute to conduct a research survey on the impact of climate change on Hong Kong citizens. In the high-risk heatwave area of Sham Shui Po, we have advocated with relevant government departments and District Council and proposed various plans to reduce the impact of heatwaves on residents. In addition, we have also collaborated and exchanged ideas with other local community organizations to explore strategies for addressing climate change.
