The Compass Group is an organization of not-for-profit IDN (Integrated Delivery Network) System Laboratory leaders who have established collaborative relationships to identify and share best practices and strategies to help insure the survival of the not-for-profit laboratory industry. IDN Systems are the members. Representatives of members are the laboratory executives and medical directors from leading IDN healthcare systems in the US. It is incorporated in the State of Illinois and established as a 501c6 trade association. This organization has a paid administrative staff and is directed by an active Board of Directors and committee structure.
