Compass AmeriCorps

Do you have a passion for helping other people? Are you looking for a doorway into the non-profit sector in Pittsburgh? Are you considering a career in teaching or social services? Do you know about AmeriCorps? Compass AmeriCorps members are adults of all ages and backgrounds who have a passion for volunteer service and education. Compass AmeriCorps members provide English Language instruction and social services support to immigrants and newly resettled refugees. Members are placed in non-profits in the Pittsburgh area for 11 months of fulltime service. They also plan and participate in community service projects and trainings as a team throughout the year. Our AmeriCorps members meet other service-oriented people, and together have the opportunity to have a positive impact on their communities.
