The Competence Centre for Mineral Ressources (CCMR) was established by the Southern African - German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAGCC) and was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The Centre´s main focus is on Southern Africa, more specifically South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic Congo where mining is one of the most important Industries. These markets will contribute to the security and diversity of the German resource supply and will be markets for German technology, products and services. The Competence Centre aims to be the central point of contact for German companies in Southern Africa and serves the following objectives: -Creating market transparency -Promoting cooperation and communication -Providing Services -Marketing/Promoting German technologies
