Social Learning Solutions develops and markets innovative Learning Management Systems (LMS). Founded in 2012 as Complex Task Assessment Solutions and Information Technology (CTASIT) LLC in Greensboro, NC, Social Learning Solutions is now an international virtual company with collaborators in North Carolina, Virginia, and British Columbia. Social Learning Solutions/CTASIT has created a suite of powerful LMSs for use in a variety of educational and training settings to assign students complex, creative problems, collect submissions in any media, and facilitate peer feedback and double-loop mutual assessment, which scores each participant as an author (on their submissions) and peer reviewer (on the quality of their feedback). It also enables instructors to provide more timely, targeted feedback and more accurate grading based on multi-faceted performance measures, learning analytics, and data visualization. Our flagship product Mobius SLIP fosters students’ creative, critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills (4Cs or “21st century skills”) and improves learning outcomes. It also enables instructors to provide targeted feedback based on learning analytics while saving the instructor valuable time. Finally, it features a powerful engine for computing, recording and data-mining multi-faceted performance measures.
