We Do Not Outsource.
Every single step of production of all of our parts happens in-house at our facility in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, directly led by the owner of the company- Christopher Knerr. From raw materials to finished, buffed, and polished parts, our team of dedicated technicians, including the owner himself, put the utmost care into every step of every part.
We strictly use high-quality prepreg carbon fiber sourced from the UK for all of our parts. While this is significantly more expensive than sourcing our prepreg from Chinese manufacturers, it pays for its extra cost in reliable client service if/when there is a quality concern and in the overall quality of the material itself. From mold making to final part manufacturing, we use Xpreg’s tooling and component systems.
In manufacturing, we take care to put thought into every step of the process to reduce waste and make the parts as strong as possible. Yet another reason we use prepreg carbon fiber is that the systems allow for built-in UV resistance- which most traditional wet epoxy resin systems do not have. This, paired with our high solids UV blocking clear coat ensures that our carbon will not yellow for many years, even in direct sun exposure.
Finally, whether we are working on small aesthetic parts or large structural components, perfect fitment and finish is without question. Even the smallest issue in finish means the part gets kicked back to the paint prepping stage of production to be stripped and re-finished and any fitment concerns will result in a rejection and likely scrapping of the part.
