Compostable Coalition UK

The Compostable Coalition UK: Closing the loop for compostable packaging is a first of its kind project backed by UK Research & Innovation’s (UKRI) flagship £60 million Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging Challenge The project brings together key compostable packaging producers along with local UK bio-waste business operators, academia and industry associations to examine the potential role that compostable packaging can play in transitioning to a new Plastics economy and accelerating the attainment of the UK’s Plastics Pact goals of “100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging” with “70% effectively recycled or composted”.
