About Computer Science @ GSSI
The Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI), located in L'Aquila-Italy, is a centre for research and higher education, providing international Ph.D. programs. The Computer Science (CS) group at GSSI is the top CS Department in Italy (VQR 2022). The evaluation covers the quality of the scientific work of professors and researchers. Also, together with the Mathematics area, the CS was recognised as one of the Departments of Excellence, obtaining more than 7 million Euros in funding. We do research on Algorithms, Formal Methods, and Software Engineering, often interdisciplinary. Research in Algorithms has a focus on computational problems arising in networks and multi-agent systems. In the field of the Formal Methods, the research group focuses on complex reactive systems and covers a broad range of topics such as languages, semantic models, and software verification. The research of the Software Engineering group focuses on the systematic application of engineering approaches to the development of software for autonomous and smart systems. In this page we provide news and information about our work.
