Comscicon-Houston company information, Employees & Contact Information

ComSciCon-Houston is a local franchise of the national Communicate Science Conference (ComSciCon) held annually in Boston. The Houston workshop brings together graduate students and post-doctoral researchers from Rice University, University of Houston, Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Houston Methodist Research Institute, among other institutions in the Texas Medical Center and around the greater Houston area, to learn how to better communicate scientific research and issues to the general public. We at ComSciCon-Houston believe that through interdisciplinary, multi-institution collaboration, STEM professionals can break down stereotypes usually associated with scientists and begin to connect important, ground-breaking research and the people who make them possible with the people in the society they benefit. ComSciCon-Houston is an annual conference held every Spring where selected participants hear talks and panels on different fields in science communication, practice giving 60-second research "pop talks," as well as get expert feedback on original written and visual communication through interactive workshops. Those who are interested in participating or organizing the conference should check out our website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
