For 25 years, Concentrics has assisted a wide range of organizations with their development, from Fortune 500 corporations, to small businesses and not-for-profits. Ten years ago, we began to focus predominantly on the challenging and critically important field of education, where we saw a need for further development of their leadership capability and decision-making proficiency. This enabled us to apply our corporate experience to schools to sharpen their planning, decision-making and leadership processes. It has also gained us understanding and experience with independent and public schools, colleges and universities and their many challenges. Recently, we’ve seen the challenges for schools grow at an unrelenting pace. There are concerns about rising costs, changing demographics, facility maintenance, proficiency testing, managing risks, legal compliance, gaining/maintaining accreditation, alumni support, board governance, rising/declining enrollment, technological advances–the list goes on and on. How in the world does a school’s leadership manage resources with so many challenges to juggle?
