Since its foundation in Ireland in 1968, Concern Worldwide has gone on to work in over 50 countries, responding to major emergencies as well as implementing long term development programmes. Today, with 4,000 staff of 50 nationalities, Concern operates in 30 of the world’s poorest countries, helping people to achieve major and long-lasting improvements in their lives.
It is no coincidence that Concern chose to open its 5th branch office and fourth country office in Seoul - the first branch office in Asia - in 2015. Republic of Korea is in the unique position of having made the transition from being an aid recipient to an aid donor. With economic success, has come the recognition of a need to help other less fortunate nations and communities.
