Conesam Benue State Chapter

The Coalition Network of Stakeholders in Agricultural Mechanization (CONESAM) is a community of practice (COP) that promotes measures which increase the exchange of best practices and concrete solutions that can be deployed towards increasing agricultural productivity, strengthening capacities in production quality, standardization and conformity assessment, and increasing access to heal, resolved international markets for MSMEs involved in agribusiness value chain in Nigeria. We are a nongovernmental, non-political, non-religious and non-tribal body that promotes the growth and development of Agri-based Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria. CONESAM is also focused on establishing mechanisms for promoting and entrenching Knowledge Exchange and Cascaded Commercialization (KECC) between technology centers (Universities, Research Institutes etc.), local fabricators makerspaces, processors clusters and other endusers as the benchmark for a rapid diffusion of technologies and innovation to local industry, thereby creating a distributed manufacturing model that can contribute to foster light manufacturing industries that will catalyze local economic development and job creation. CONESAM is a structured Business Membership Organization (BMO). CONESAM is poised to become a strong and reputable representative of the research and innovation ecosystems in agriculture as it relates to advocacy and business development. CONESAM will advocate member interests and concerns; be a strong organization with proper governance structures; and respond to member needs by delivering high quality and affordable services and information. We are "UNITED IN COLLABORATION” to foster information sharing and knowledge exchange that will enable cocreation and access to new markets for all stakeholders.
