We aim to help our clients with a realistic approach to ESG; i.e. we are not ‘religious’ about ESG and are well aware of the shortcomings and potential negative side effects of ESG regulations. That being said, the ESG regulations are there and becoming stricter going forward, with far reaching consequences. Companies need not only to comply with currently demanded standards, but also anticipate future ESG regulations and the impact on their business and their business partners. That impact can occur in many ways, but in general costs, revenues, asset valuation, cost of capital and availability of capital, are the main areas of concern.
