Connak Foundation

CONNAK foundation started in 2012 but became registered as an organization in 2015 with the mission to redirect and groom the youths in our local community who were about to be overtaken by social vices like drugs, rape and Cultism. The youth is said to be the future of any community and nation at large. True as this is, any society that does not make conscious and intentional effort to groom, motivate and properly direct its youths will possibly lose the contributions of this generation while raising the likelihood of social misfits. A general Survey shows that about 70% of the youths and women in our rural communities are from indigent families. Their Fathers are either farmers or does menial jobs with more children that they are not able to cater for while their mothers are basically house wives with no source of income other than doing house chores. These youths could not go to school while others dropped out of school due to lack of funds, nothing to motivate or inspire them to aspire and achieve thereby making them more susceptible to the vices created by the environment they found themselves in. These facts shaped CONNAK Foundation’s agenda from inception, then more and more in recent years. Over the years we have reached over 2,200 youths and women in the eastern part of Nigeria. Now we are taking the next bold step forward to increase the impact in our youths and women locally, nationally and globally. Our mission- to enhance human life and dignity by implementing programs that leverages technology and community participation to promote good health and economic well-being for youths and women. We are discovering new ideas, forging partnerships, taking on bigger projects with our partners and driving more impact in the world.
