Connect to Purpose

We are a start-up charity with big ambitions – to rescue and restore a C12th Manor house and set it up as a therapeutic retreat to support young people who are struggling in education, disadvantaged by circumstances out of their control; and to tackle the increasing rate of school exclusions. Our strategy is innovative: harnessing the power of personal development and transformation for all the family and enabling them to plan and be in control of their own pathway to creating a better future for themselves offers an alternative contribution to the way our society is dealing with the disengagement of disadvantaged young people, as well as to eradicating the attainment gap in education, by tackling the problem at one of its root causes. We will work alongside our young people and their families to provide access to the emotional and practical resources they need to plan and put in action their own pathways to personal transformation. We hope to build a strong lifeline that will sustain their journey, to re-engage young people with education as well as empower their parents/carers with the skills and confidence to be involved in their children's learning and feel confident to help them achieve the successful educational outcomes they deserve. We would like to encourage our young people and their families to heal relationships, nurture positive goals for each other and strengthen their capability to overcome their difficulties so they can all lead purposeful lives and enjoy personal happiness.
