THE CHANCAY MULTIPURPOSE PORT TERMINAL The company Cosco Shipping Ports Chancay Peru signed a contract with the Chinese consortium CHEC SAC-CCCC4TH for the construction of the port and administrative area of the entrance complex to the port of the Chancay terminal. The execution of the works amounts to 600 million dollars. The Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal, located in Huaral, is designed to receive general cargo (does not include bulk minerals) and containerized, with the capacity to receive container ships of the EEE type (that transport 18,000 containers) directly from Asia, becoming one of the the main gateways to Peru and the region. The goal will be to move around 1.5 million containers per year and six million tons of general cargo.
