Constructing Our Future

Welcome to "Constructing our Future (COF)," a program dedicated to supporting previously incarcerated women who are committed to becoming independent and law-abiding citizens upon their release. Our mission is to provide a secure and affordable living environment right after their release, as well as a clear path to achieving permanent, stable housing. At COF, we believe in the power of community and shared experiences. That's why we surround newly released women with others who have walked a similar path, creating a supportive network that fosters understanding and encouragement. Through mentorships and connections with essential resources, we equip them with the tools they need for success. Our comprehensive approach focuses on preparing these women for livable wage jobs, independent living, and family reintegration. We offer assistance with financial, social, and job skills, and ensure access to education, recovery, and mental health services. By providing a holistic support system, we aim to empower these women to overcome challenges and seize new opportunities. Beyond individual support, COF takes an active role in advocating for public policies that promote the full reintegration of previously incarcerated women into society. We believe that by addressing systemic issues and fostering a more inclusive environment, we can create a brighter future for everyone. Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate community where every woman has the chance to construct her own future, free from the constraints of her past.
