Construction Development Corporation Ltd

The Construction Development Corporation Limited (CDCL) has its genesis in the erstwhile Mechanical Division of the Department of Roads under the Ministry of Works and Human Settlements (MoWHS). In July 2006, it was delinked from the Ministry to function as a self-sustaining commercial unit. Subsequently, CDCL was incorporated under the Companies Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2000 in December 2009, thereby becoming a full-fledged State-Owned Enterprise (SOE). After five years of operation as an SOE, the Ministry of Finance handed over the full ownership of Company to the Druk Holding and Investments (DHI) in January 2015. On 1st October 2016, erstwhile DHI-INFRA Limited, a fully owned company under DHI was merged with the CDCL in an effort to consolidate and synergize, transferring all its mandates and activities. After becoming fully owned subsidiary company of the DHI, CDCL amended its Articles of Incorporation (AOI).
