Construction Development Institute

The Construction Development Institute (CDI) is targeted to MBE/DBE/WBE and VBE businesses whose operational challenges have stagnated their growth and who need resources to assist them in scaling up and growing their companies. Our organization provides topic-specific modules training, mentoring, coaching and counseling services. Our curricula is developed with the belief that in order for diverse firms to gain access to the ‘Big Boy’ networks, they must achieve knowledge competence to establish their ability to perform successfully on projects by demonstrating their familiarity with critical key functions that commercial contractors employ. At CDI, because of our extensive experience in providing a wealth of services to small businesses and businesses in the construction trades in specific, we know that foundational business and operational knowledge is essential for scalable growth. Unlike some organizations, we believe that focus on a business plan is less important in the construction space and that more focus must be directed on gaining industry operational and management knowledge.
