Consultdoc is a digital platform that enables anyone to solve the problem of access to primary care by offering a convenient direct access to a private online GP at the comfort of people’s homes or offices at their choosing time through digital means. In simple terms, Consultdoc will help people to access a private online GP conveniently through its platform. We are also working with businesses to create a healthier workforce.
This service is authorised and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Consultdoc platform was formed mainly to supplement and support NHS primary care service following the pressure and negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is by no means a replacement for NHS service, so patients are encouraged to use their NHS primary care service as a first point of contact for treatment.
Consultdoc digital platform is also a service created for routine non-emergency care and patients that require emergency care are advised to seek alternative services for emergency care. As the service is only offered through a digital consultation (i.e., video and telephone), any patient that require a face-to-face assessment are advised to see their registered NHS GP for further assessment.
Consultdoc doctors are qualified General Practitioners with membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and full registration with the General Medical Council in UK.
Our doctors can help you make quick informed decisions about any medical condition leading to an early intervention. However, our doctors cannot manage or prescribe medications for long term medical conditions like diabetes or hypertension. We advice you to see your doctor for this.
