In 2001, Consumer Ventures was started by two brothers, Joel and Stephen Flatt. The two battle-hardened operators have combined 45+ years of C-Suite experience in the consumer sector. We have been retailers, manufacturers, and brand builders. We have successfully acquired 9 businesses, all from founders. Consumer Ventures is dedicated to investing in and nurturing talent through its unique, operator-led approach. We aim to drive growth and innovation in fragmented segments by investing capital, being strategic advisors, and providing mentorship for leaders. Consumer Ventures is headquartered in Toronto, Canada, with international operations in North America, Asia, Europe, and the UK.
