CONVERSUS aims to develop novel highly efficient thermoelectric materials based on Layered 2D semiconducting carbon based heterostructures and ionic membranes. This will be possible by to the
development of nanostructures derived from lignocellulose biomass with functionalised surfaces that will improve ion and electron mobility
and consequently thermoelectric efficiency. This strategy coupled with the development of novel nanostructured carbon based electrodes
