COOK4CALD

We hope to feed individuals and their families of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds who’ve experienced difficulty through the year. We acknowledge the hardships the CALD community face on a daily basis, and want to do what we can to ease that hardship. Food poverty and low socioeconomic status is a vulnerable topic to discuss for many, so we’re aiming to raise awareness of the issue whilst tackling it at the same time. COOK4CALD hopes to feed families of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds, specifically through the holiday period. Summer in Australia is generally a time of socialising with friends and family, plenty of eating, celebrating and giving. Thus, why it’s a perfect time to get our community together and help those families who need a nice home cooked meal.
