Food and family go hand in hand at COOKED. It’s embodied in the sharing of a delicious meal with loved ones, and the making of memories around a family table. Our recipes have been passed down from generation to generation, starting as far back as 1893 with Bobba’s cheesecake, which has ‘survived’ all the way from Lithuania… to Cape Town! Our inspiration mostly comes from Middle Eastern and Mediterranean roots, where it’s all about the best of fresh, seasonal ingredients, skillfully combined and lightly treated, all coming together in a delicious and memorable experience. True to our ancestors creative and somewhat rebellious natures, we have sneaked in some more contemporary dishes, but when it comes to bagels, we are 100% traditional...hand rolled and boiled, just like Bobba did!
