COPE Ltd is a well established, successful, Shetland-based, social enterprise and registered charity, which provides supported employment and skills development for adults living with learning disabilities or autism. COPE Ltd operates four business areas: Shetland Kitchen Co and Shetlandeli, Shetland Garden Co, Shetland Home Co, and Shetland Soap Company. We are committed to providing opportunities to participate in a supportive and inclusive work environment, free from stigma and discrimination. Everyone is valued for their abilities and appropriately supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential in all areas of our company. Each enterprise provides a range of volunteer skills development placements and supported employee positions. We are dedicated to our social purpose and work closely with local and national stakeholders to provide 100 work placement sessions weekly, through a Service Level Agreement with the Shetland Islands Council. Across our businesses we are also committed to our environmental purpose and work to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle wherever possible. Shetland Home Co is one of Scotland's 115 Revolve accredited stores, guaranteeing affordable access to high quality, safe, clean, second-hand homeware and a viable, effective and quantifiable route to recycling for materials that would otherwise end up in landfill in Shetland. As a registered charity we receive support from the Shetland Charitable Trust and a range of other sources. However, we are able to generate more than 50% of our own income through our business activities because of the support we get from customers and the amazing local community we are part of. Any surplus goes back into the company and we are constantly looking for ways to offer more people more opportunities. Registered Charity No: SC028022
