Company History
In 1998, a small team of employees working for Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines decided to form their own IT & Networking business in response to the impending privatisation of the mining conglomerate.
Numbering 16 in total and led by a group of six promoters and supported by Cavmont Securities the investment arm of a Zambian Bank, the company finally began operations in August 1999, as Next Millennia Corporation, a name which would later be changed to CopperNET Solutions after the brand name of the Internet Service which the company had run even under ZCCM.
