Coram Technologies is the latest startup formed by the company founder and President, Dr. Henry Halperin to commercialize new medical devices, including CPR related technologies and new, interactive educational approaches. A previous startup formed by Dr. Halperin was Cardiologic Systems which was venture funded, was ultimately acquired by Zoll Medical, was renamed as Zoll Circulation, and is now a part of Zoll Temperature Management. Zoll Temperature Management sells a number of CPR related medical devices based on Dr. Halperin’s inventions. Dr. Halperin was a member of the Board of Directors of Cardiologic Systems. Another previous startup of Dr. Halperin is Imricor Medical Systems which was angel funded initially, sells interventional MRI products based on some of Dr. Halperin’s inventions, and is publically traded. Dr Halperin helped secure Phase I and Phase II SBIR grants for both Cardiologic Systems and Imricor Medical Systems in the early stages of both companies.
