CORE Counseling (Barbados)

By deciding to start counseling, you’ve taken a gigantic step toward increased mental health and wellbeing. CORE Counseling was established by Trevor A. Charles with the goal of empowering individuals to develop their psychological core by gaining insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CORE Counseling provides confidential goal-oriented counseling services to adolescents, families, and adults in the community, for a wide range of concerns, including, but not limited to: • Anxiety, Worry, Stress • Anger Control Issues • Communication Skills • Anxiety Disorders • Depression • Bereavement and Loss • Coping with Trauma • Adjustment Issues • Marital/Relationship Issues • Parenting and Co-parenting Issues • Self-esteem Issues • Bullying • Adolescent Behavioral Issues • LGBTQ Issues The impetus for counseling is as unique and diverse as the individuals who seek it, but typically people come to counseling to find assistance they haven’t found in other areas of their life. Even if you’re not facing a specific issue in your life, you may turn to counseling for self discovery and self improvement. Counseling is a good opportunity to reflect on past experiences, and explore your feelings and values. This can improve your sense of self and help you feel more complete and satisfied in your life. CORE Counseling also accepts referrals from companies, HR Departments, EAP’s, Government bodies (e.g., the Court, Probation Department), & other health professionals. At CORE Counseling, we utilize a variety of treatment approaches that are tailored to suit the individual needs of each client.
