About Coalition on Race and Ethnicity in Engineering
We are a graduate student-led organization who fosters a sense of community within our underrepresented minority (URM) graduate engineering students. We do so by arranging academic, social, and professional events/resources that are tailored for URM success in the academic realm. We have curated an established list of yearly events which celebrate and serve our diverse URM identities. Our events balance essential social interaction with professional and academic development throughout the year; for example, our members get access to our networking conferences and interschool affinity socials. We also pay special attention to fortifying young URM interest in higher education by participating in local community outreach. We delegate members to tutor local youth and setup occasional classroom demonstrations that combine art/culture with STEM concepts.
