The Cork & Taste Society is Carleton University’s dedicated wine society. We aim to enlighten students over 19 about the vast and complex world of wines through social and educational events.
Cork & Taste is open to all legal aged Carleton University students, from beginners to seasoned wine connoisseurs. Our mantra, in vino veritas – “in wine, there is truth”, is a Latin saying about inebriation just as much as it is about the pursuit of knowledge. The desire to learn is fundamental to our Society mandate.
Our goals at Cork & Taste are to:
- Encourage students to broaden their taste palates
- Invite expert knowledge to networking events
- Make learning about wine fun and gratifying
- Create an environment for aspiring wine connoisseurs
- Harbour a social community at Carleton University
