About Cornell Human Centered Design

The Department of Human Centered Design is a multidisciplinary community of scholars at the intersection of design and social innovation, health and well-being, strategy, sustainability and materials and technology. We use research to inform the creative process and solve real-world challenges. Undergraduate majors: Fashion Design & Management, Fiber Science, and Design & Environmental Analysis—the only accredited interior design program in the Ivy League. We offer eight graduate degrees across two graduate fields: Design & Environmental Analysis and Fiber Science & Apparel Design. Our graduates possess the tools, skills and strategies to become industry leaders, visionary academics and pioneering practitioners across diverse fields. A department in the College of Human Ecology.
