Cornerstone

Cornerstone company information, Employees & Contact Information

Cornerstone was started by people from Morningside and Bruntsfield who wanted a church that was local, walkable, and an easy place for everyone to connect to Christianity. Our aim from the outset was to be ‘a church for people who don’t go to church.’ We offer a clear message about who Jesus is and why he matters. We love the city of Edinburgh and Morningside. We want to contribute as much as we can to the wellbeing of our community and the flourishing of our city. At Cornerstone we think through Christianity in a way that helps us to make the best contribution we can at work, at home and in the street where we live. We also offer people a place of belonging and friendship - no matter who they are or what they believe. To foster this sense of community we spend a lot of time simply hanging out, talking about life and drinking coffee Our services are held in the Hall at Morningside United Church on Chamberlain Road while we refurbish the Old Schoolhouse. We love this historic old building and consider it a massive privilege to be able to care for this building and maintain as an asset for the use of the wider community. Neil MacMillan is the minister of Cornerstone. Neil attended James Gillespie’s High School and has a long association with this part of Edinburgh. He likes live music, Raith Rovers, good coffee and movies.
