CORPluS - Corps for Education and Development

The CORPluS Foundation was established in 2012 as a legacy organization of the US Peace Corps Bulgaria. CORPluS seeks to strengthen the English language knowledge and skills of Bulgarian students and to provide opportunities for extracurricular activities, participation in competitions, educational camps, etc. The organization works with English language teachers to further develop their professional capacity and offers them training programs and forums focused on innovative methods of teaching and skills transfer. The main projects of CORPluS are: the Bulgarian National English Spelling Bee Competition, the Bulgarian National Creative Writing Competition and the Professional development program for English teachers. Every year over 400 schools and 8 000 students participate in the competitions, and more than 300 teachers have been part of the trainings organized by CORPluS.
