Acción Verde is a Colombian non-profit organization, created in 2013 with the aim of contributing to the sustainability of the planet. We have recently launched ReforestPeace.org where people, companies and governments can help us generate social, ecological, and economic impacts, that lead to more peaceful territories in Colombia.
We started with reforestation aiming at restoration, and the planting of corals and mangroves on the Colombian coastlines. Healthier ecosystems lead to more sustainable and peaceful habitats. Today we focus on planting native tree species in strategic ecosystems of Colombia, as well as complementary activities that reduce environmental impacts, while also contributing to the livelihoods of communities where peace is still a goal.
