About Corrin Mediation
Conor Gately founded Corrin Mediation after a thirty-year career with An Garda Síochána, Ireland’s national police service. As a leader in Community Policing, Conor frequently engaged with people facing conflict. He saw first-hand how the limitations of the criminal justice system sometimes failed to provide the best outcomes for those involved. His involvement with his Community Network gave Conor the opportunity to undergo Restorative Practice training. This sparked an interest in alternative conflict resolution methods, leading him to complete a master's degree in Human Rights in Criminal Justice at the University of Limerick. Through his studies and extensive experience, he developed a deeper understanding of alternative approaches to conflict resolution, ultimately identifying mediation as a valuable practice for resolving disputes where those in conflict designed their own solutions rather than having them imposed on them. Conor completed mediation training and is an accredited member of the Mediators Institute of Ireland. “My policing experience, coupled with living in the community I served, taught me the importance of objectivity and confidentiality. I bring these values to mediation, where confidentiality and neutrality are fundamental and are protected by law. I am dedicated to helping people design their own solutions to conflict.” Reach out to Conor at Corrin Mediation to find out how he can assist with resolving your disputes.
