Cor Unum

Cor Unum (meaning ‘one in heart’) is a ceramics studio that has been based in 's-Hertogenbosch since its founding in 1953. The company has its roots in Social Employment. In the mid-1990s, the management of Cor Unum consciously chose to focus on the niche of exclusive design. With the belief that Cor Unum has the experience and know-how of the technical process, the company produces top-quality ceramics. These ceramics are based on designs from nationally and internationally renowned designers, architects, and visual artists. The products in the Cor Unum collection are distinguished by their outstanding design. Internationally recognized designers – such as Ron Arad, Richard Hutten, Alessandro Mendini, Konstantin Grcic, Benno Premsela, and Marcel Wanders – have collaborated with Cor Unum. Additionally, emerging talents like Studio RenS, Kiki van Eijk, Kranen/Gille, Alex de Witte, Roderick Vos, Jeroen Wand, Floris Hovers, and Floris Wubben have entrusted their designs to Cor Unum. The studio translates their designs with great craftsmanship and passion into stunning products of the highest quality. A unique aspect of Cor Unum is the team behind the ceramics. The team consists of both professionals and people with disabilities or barriers to employment who dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to the company. These wonderful individuals, working within social employment programs, are the ones who transform the leading designs into world-class ceramic objects. All of this takes place under the inspiring leadership of Lotte Landsheer, the operational manager of Cor Unum, designer, and daughter of the founder and artist Zweitse Landsheer.
