Corvus Theatre Co. was founded by Holly Luton during her Master of Design at Auckland University of Technology in 2020. At the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Holly and the Company have sought to reconsider how theatre is produced and performed during crises. Her postgraduate research, entitled PEEP Show: An exploration of performing live theatre during a pandemic, using Sophocles’ Antigone, explores how theatre can maintain the aesthetics, ephemerality, and theatricality of live performance, whilst keeping both audience and participants safe.
