Costa Food is the meat holding of Costa Group and its origins lie in the opening of Piensos Costa, a company dedicated to buying and selling cereals. Since then, integration, expansión and growth models have been put into practice that have enabled the Group to become a benchmark in the Spanish and European agri-food business.

Our commitment to ‘welfare’ is based around comprehensive care for the animals (good food, good sties, good health and suitable behaviour) and the Group’s philosophy of continuous improvement. All of which has led to us becoming the first Spanish pork producer to obtain the AENOR ‘Animal Welfare’ certificate for all the livestock farms and the whole production process. This now sits alongside the other certificates obtained by the Group: IFS and BRC.
