Cox Television

Cox Television was a unit of Cox Enterprises until January 2009, when it became a part of Cox Media Group (LinkedIn Company Page: http://www.linkedin.com/company/cox-media-group). Cox Media Group is a combination of three former Cox operating units -- Cox Newspapers, Cox Television, and Cox Radio. Cox Television, now part of Cox Media Group, was a significant player in American television. It owned and operated around 15 television stations, 3 national television advertising sales firms, and a television production company. In addition, it operated a research firm and a Washington news office. The company was founded in 1948 and was based Atlanta, Georgia. Cox Television operated as a subsidiary of Cox Broadcasting Inc.
