CPCS was founded in 2002 to answer the children’s needs in the streets of Nepal. Every year, hundreds of kids, hundreds of kids, attracted by the allure of the “big city”, leave their villages. Once there, they discover the harsh realities of life in the streets and are left on their own to face multiple forms of danger and abuse (moral, sexual and physical).
CPCS was created to support these children and youth and to prevent more children from ending up in the streets.
The organization’s work can be divided into three steps:
- Prevention
- Risk reduction
- Social rehabilitation
CPCS works on 25 programs/actions helping more than 2 000 street children and children at risk every month.
