About CPI Group Australia
CPI Group is a distributor of fine paper, inks, wide format printing equipment and pressroom consumables to the Graphics Arts industry. In addition CPI Group is a distributor of copy paper and stationery to the office products reseller market. CPI Group has operations in all Australian states and in New Zealand. The business of the CPI Group was founded in Victoria on 1 September 1977. CPI Group was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1992. Since listing, the CPI Group expanded through the acquisition of Boomerang Paper in 2004 and Edwards Dunlop Paper and Raleigh Paper in 2007. In May 2011 CPI Group was acquired by PagePack (AU) Pty Limited and delisted on May 17, 2011.The paper merchant businesses, other than Boomerang Paper, now trade under the BJ Ball Papers business name. As of April 2011, the CPI Group employed more than 400 people
