The Cyber Physical Systems and Internet of Things (CPS-IoT) thinker’s space is envisioned as a facility to foster creative thinking in problems inspired on the application of sensing, actuators, embedded systems, cloud computing, and networking for undergraduate and graduate Electrical and Computer Engineering students. This space allows more than forty ECE students working in projects that span diverse application areas for CPS and IoT, to continue their preparation to become top notch professionals to feed the demand in the national STEM workforce and graduate programs. In addition, the laboratory is being used to host a variety of activities from the Computing Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institutions (CAHSI) that include outreach activities, coding club, hackathons, among others. Currently, our research groups include 47 undergraduate and graduate students conducting research in diverse areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
