FBMS is the largest of the 6 faculties at CPUT with approximately 12 000 students and over 500 staff members. Lead by Prof. Paul Green as the Dean, as well as two Assistant Deans Prof. Desree Scholtz and Prof. Renitha Rampersad, the faculty boasts a total of 16 academic departments and 1 academic unit. The faculty is also supported by three strategic units (Unit for Quality, Risk and Knowledge Management; Unit for Research and Information Advancement and the Unit for Strategic Initiatives and Projects) that aim to advance the academic programmes and promote the faculty projects, initiatives, and research.
